Official rugby carrier
South African Airways (SAA) will 'Fly the Fans' and assume its role as official carrier during this rugby season clash of the Vodacom Super 14. "We are dedicated to taking the fans to where the rugby action is by offering the best travel options available," says Rushj Lehutso, SAA GM global sales and marketing.
"It may be the players who bring the game to the people, but it is the people who inspire the players to give their utmost," says Lehutso.
For this reason, SAA is focused on giving supporters the opportunity to follow their teams and give them as much backing as possible.
SAA has a proud association with South African rugby, being one of the Johannesburg-based Lions team's sponsors and the official carrier of all teams participating in the Vodacom Super 14. The Lions recently changed their name from the Cats.
"It is a great honour to carry the teams so they can participate in matches and provide their fans with the best rugby entertainment," he says.
The airline is confident the Vodacom Super 14 trophy will be brought back to South Africa, its rightful home.
"An exciting season lies ahead not only for SAA but for the millions of supporters who have waited in eager anticipation for it to begin," concludes Lehutso.
