Nando's Comedy festivals return

The annual Nando's Comedy Festivals will be held at the ICC in Durban, the Teatro at Montecasino and the Baxter in Cape Town, running from 23 July until 19 September, 2010.

First up is the Nando's Durbs Comedy Festival, which will run from 23 to 25 July 2010 at the ICC.

Comedians from all over the world will be on one stage including comedy heavyweights such as Pablo Francisco (Chile), Al Madigral (Mexico), Bobby Lee (Korea) and Dean Edwards (USA) will perform live together with SA funny man Loyiso Gola at the 3rd Annual Nando's Durbs Comedy Festival.

Durban is followed by the Nando's Jozi Comedy Festival from 26 July to 1 August at Montecasino. Some of the Shows you can see at the Nando's Jozi Comedy Festival:

UN Comedy Show

Seven Comedians. Seven days. One Stage. As the "United Nations of Comedy" the "UN Comedy Show" brings comedians from all over the world onto one stage, with the likes Pablo Francisco, Al Madigral and Bobby Lee. Age restriction 16.

Unhinged Show

For Nando's Jozi Comedy Festival goers who prefer their nachos a little more spicy, the late-night, uncensored comedy of the "UNhinged" Shows will feature seven comedians from all over the globe "unhinged" in a comedy gig that is not for the faint hearted or those under 18. It will feature international heavyweights such as Jason Rouse.

Comedy Showdown

The very popular local stand-up competition "Comedy Showdown" hosted at Parkers Comedy & Jive, is Nando's Jozi Comedy Festival's annual search for SA's new stand-up talent. With several "comedy heats" and a final show on 28 July, the winner will get the chance to perform alongside the international comedy heavyweights at the final performance of the "UN Comedy Show" on 1 August at the Teatro Montecasino.

Last up is the Nando's Cape Town Comedy Festival, which will run from 30 August until 19 September at the Baxter and will once again feature Main Arena & Danger Zone. The line-up will be announced at the end of July.
