Africa Albida Tourism has been known for their cream-of-the-crop hospitality offerings in the Zimbabwe region, which includes the luxury Hide Safari Lodge in Hwange National Park and their award-winning flagship property, Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. However, Ngoma Safari Lodge is the first of their hospitality product offering beyond Zimbabwe's borders.

Having broken ground in the Chobe area in October 2010, it was thanks to a highly dedicated construction team and the support of the local community that the lodge was completed on time and ready to welcome its first guests.

Take a bath on the wild side

The guests took up residence in the lodge's eight suites which are river-facing with spacious internal and external living areas, a bath, inside and outside showers, overhead fans, air conditioning, mini bar, tea/coffee facilities and an open lounge. Each of the suites has a stunning view of the Chobe River and the guests took full advantage of relaxing on their private verandas while watching a variety of game pass by on the Caprivi Floodplain below.

When asked for feedback by management on their experience, Luca Giusti, one of the guests, commented, "This place is heaven on earth!! From the moment we arrived I had to keep pinching myself. The food, accommodation and staff have all been amazing - not to mention the incredible game sightings we've had! I'll definitely be back!" Ngoma Safari Lodge offers up to four game activities a day, including game walks with an armed professional guide. With over 75 mammal and 450 bird species to be found in this region, every foray into the Chobe National Park or Chobe Forest Reserve is incredibly rewarding."

Optimistic

Africa Albida Tourism is optimistic about the future of the lodge. According to Stutchbury, "Early bookings for the lodge are already looking good and we have no doubt that with an impressive hospitality offering like Ngoma Safari Lodge, we will see high demand for the property going forward."

With so much to offer, Ngoma Safari Lodge is sure to follow in the successful footsteps of the Group's other award winning properties. From the well-appointed rooms to the gastronomic delights served up by the talented young chef, Paddington Muguza, the prolific game, including the famed Chobe elephants, the impressive variety and quantity of bird species, the awe-inspiring views and the serenity of the landscape that quietens the soul, Ngoma Safari Lodge is ready and waiting to awaken your senses and create unforgettable memories to be treasured forever.
