Game for a break the family can enjoy?

Oceana began as Texan Rip Miller's private refuge and the superlative standard of luxury finishes speaks more to his standards of personal comfort than even the most luxurious game lodges I've visited. There are never more than 18 guests at Oceana and the Ocean Villa is for families who relish the luxury and privacy of own chefs and rangers.
Notable in the vast suites are separate wardrobes and bathrooms, each with either a feature double-headed shower or spa bath. Both have glass windows that open onto the private deck with views over the dense plantings onwards to the beach. While relaxing in a bubble bath, we saw giraffe loping by.
Since July, Oceana is under the management of the Mantis Group with Shamwari staff working to bring the service and cuisine in line with the other superb facilities. As there are no predators at Oceana, and with the exception of white rhino and buffalo, no mammals to frighten, it is a perfect place for families or those with little time who want many game sightings.
More than anything, perhaps, Oceana is designed with every personal comfort in mind for the discerning traveller whose goal is to relax. Find out more at http://www.oceanareserve.com or call +27 (0) 83-616-0605.
