Rocking the Daisies pairs up with Can Do! to go plastic free

The annual festival will be held at the Cloof Wine Estate in Darling, Western Cape from 5-7 October 2018. The move to go plastic free is in line with the festival’s efforts to ensure that it leaves a positive impact on the environment.
Plastic cups, straws, and single-use plastics are some of the main items that generate waste at festivals. Cans can be repurposed and recycled indefinitely, making them a great choice for the environment. Daisies chose cans also because they are unbreakable. It’s taking a plastic detox and has signed a pledge, promising to reduce its use of (single-use) plastic at the event.
Together with Can Do!, Rocking the Daisies will be, for the very first time in SA, serving ‘water in a can.’ This is its solution to rid the festival of plastic bottles. The water will be packaged in 440ml cans.
