Winners on the night, who were deemed to be the epitome of ‘personal style’, consisted of five reader-voted winners and the balance selected from a panel of judges involving GQ
's editors and past winners.

Previous winners of the awards include rapper Cassper Nyovest, sports star Siya Kolisi, entertainer DJ Tira, and actor Vuyo Dabula, among others.
