Four cities hosting Red Bull breakdancing cyphers
In a year will see the celebration of 10 years of the breakdancing championships, Red Bull BC One, four cities in South Africa will host cyphers to find out who will participate in the national final in Cape Town in July 2013.
Since its inception 10 years ago, Red Bull BC One has earned a reputation as the world's premiere one-on-one B-Boy Championship. The world finals of the competition have taken place all over the world including Soweto, South Africa, in 2007. It is this legacy that rouses South Africa's best to compete in the forthcoming cyphers.
In order to find the top-16 b-boys in country to compete in the national finals in Cape Town, Red Bull BC One will host a number of cyphers across South Africa to see who has the technique and originality to become South Africa champion. A unique character, all-round skills and a revered reputation will be the key to bringing them closer to taking the national title.
The first of the cyphers took place in Port Elizabeth on 20 April, the rest of the cyphers will take place in the following cities on the following dates:
- Joburg - 27 April at Back to the City.
- Durban - 3 May.
- Cape Town - 4 May
