No room for broom... on the upside of town

When Sabrina Watson (Paula Patton), the daughter of a wealthy uptown family announces her sudden marriage to Jason Taylor (Laz Alonso) who hails from the other side of town, two very different families find themselves together on Martha's Vineyard for a wedding.
The groom's mother, Mrs Taylor (played by Loretta Devine) in her stereotypical nature insists on upholding family traditions that the bride doesn't agree with while Mrs Watson (Angela Bassett), the bride's mother, greets her guests with an airy attitude that doesn't do much to hide her obvious disappointment in her daughter's choice.
Jokesters, Mike Epps (Willie Earl) and DeRay Davis (Malcolm) bring some comic relief to the film when the juxtaposed families unravel in a typical clash that doesn't really leave any room for surprise.
It received a 3.9/10 rating on the Internet Movie Database IMDd network.
