IMG invests in GiveMeSport
Nick Thain, CEO of GiveMeSport, said it is an important and exciting step and strengthens the partnership with IMG, with the plan to make GiveMeSport one of the leading sports websites in the world, not just Europe.
Jae Chalfin, founder of GiveMeSport, said over the last year they have emerged as one of the UK's leading sports publishers. "As the content universe continues to grow, companies like ours are thriving like never before. IMG's recent investment allows us to continue building on the success and unique position we have created."
Position has strengthened
Chairman of GiveMeSport, Roger Mitchell, said the partnership with IMG has strengthened their position as the market leaders in digital new media in sports. "The move into the US with our partners opens a very exciting new chapter in our development and will offer new opportunities to both GiveMeSport and IMG."
"The expansion of GiveMeSport is an exciting one and one that IMG is keen to invest in. We believe the business has a bright future and plan to provide the support necessary to continue the growth and success of the company," Ben Nicholas, senior vice president of IMG Media, commented.
