Bosch Projects appoints new MD

Bill Yeo, former technical director of Bosch Projects, has been appointed managing director of Bosch Projects with effect from 1 February 2011. He takes over from Michael Gibbon, who has been appointed chief executive of Bosch Holdings.

Founded in 1961, Bosch Holdings has grown to become one of South Africa's leading multi-disciplinary consulting, project engineering, construction and operational management groups. Bosch Projects, one of the group's three operating companies, provides multi-disciplinary engineering, project management, technology and equipment and turn-key solutions to the sugar, energy and industrial markets both nationally and abroad.

Company is expanding locally and abroad

Yeo said that Bosch Projects has seen exceptional growth over the past ten years both locally and internationally and was well poised to take this forward. Included in this will be the expansion of the company's international interests - it is currently active in Brazil, India, North America and across Africa - and ongoing diversification into a wide range of manufacturing sectors. Born out of the sugar industry 50 years ago, Bosch Projects now services the paper, energy and industrial sectors.

Yeo began his career as an energy engineer at SAPPI Kraft in 1991 before moving into the sugar industry when he joined Tongaat Hulett as an engineering manager in 1994. His next move was to BP as a senior projects engineer and then Bosch Projects as a business unit director at the end of 2004. His appointment as managing director comes after spending just over a year in the technical director's seat.
