Synergy Business Events appointed exhibition organiser for Meetings Africa, Africa's Travel Indaba

As South African Tourism charges forward with its commitment to the recovery of the tourism sector, the return of these shows will promote and market Africa’s business events hosting capability and showcase the continent’s leisure tourism products and experiences.
"We are delighted to be able to host Meetings Africa and Africa’s Travel Indaba once again, as these events are much needed and provide an opportunity to rebuild the leisure tourism and business events sector. We are confident that Synergy Business Events is the right partner to help us deliver outstanding events with value both for the delegates and exhibitors alike," commented Ms. Amanda Kotze-Nhlapo, chief convention bureau officer of the South Africa National Convention Bureau (SANCB).
Synergy Business Events is an exhibitions and events company that provides an integrated solution to exhibition management, from conception to execution. They have previously managed both Meetings Africa and Africa’s Travel Indaba. They also have extensive experience in managing local and international events and exhibitions in various industries.

The last Meetings Africa was hosted in February 2020, just before the Covid-19 outbreak, while Africa’s Travel Indaba did not take place in 2020 and 2021 due to global restrictions on movement and immigration regulations necessitated by the pandemic.
Meetings Africa will take place 28 February 2022 to 2 March 2022 at the Sandton Convention Centre, in Johannesburg, while Africa’s Travel Indaba will be hosted from 2 to 5 May 2022 at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban. Both events are currently being planned to be hosted as physical events with limited virtual components.
Synergy Business Events MD, Tiisetso Tau says: "It is indeed an honour and privilege to serve South African Tourism once again. As Synergy, we embrace the partnership and don't take light the task at hand. The Covid-19 pandemic has dealt a huge blow to the tourism industry and it is our responsibility to ensure the successful execution of Meetings Africa and Africa's Travel Indaba in order to showcase to the globe, Africa’s readiness to host tourists and business events delegates back to the region. We thank the leadership of South African Tourism for entrusting Synergy Business Events, with these two large trade shows."
