SA Board for People Practices hosts membership drive

The SA Board for People Practices is hosting a membership drive, calling on students studying HR and all practitioners within the HR space to join as members to help HR have a voice and be fully recognised like other bodies within the workplace. SABPP is the HR professional and statutory quality assurance body for HR learning provision established 30 years ago.

Recent recognition of SABPP as an important professional body in the HR profession and statutory quality assurance body for HR learning includes:

  • Minister of Higher Education and Training presented a recognition certificate by SAQA as a professional body in accordance with the NQF Act
  • HR Insight to the State of the Nation Address
  • Comments on HR implications on the Budget speech
  • Represented HR profession in parliament
  • Developed a SA-based HR Competency Model
  • Celebrated 30 years as a professional body
  • Accreditation of universities and colleges in SA
  • Formed 24 alliances to advance HR profession
  • Published papers about HR trends and issues
  • Working on a project to launch HR standards and metrics in SA

SABPP's reputation is centred on being the voice for the HR profession; setting standards for HR ethics and professionalism; to register HR professionals; building HR knowledge and competency; and accrediting HR learning provision.
