    Kenyan satirist ruffles politicians' feathers

NEWSWATCH: Kenyan satirist, Godfrey "Gado" Mwampembwa, is causing major waves amongst politicians in the East African country with his creation, The XYZ Show, according to Mail & Guardian Online.

The TV puppet satire show, soon launching it's second series has ruffled the feathers of politicians with it's satirical portrayal of questionable political behaviour. It's no holds barred with featured politicians including President Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga. While the South African Broadcasting Corporation refused to allow a similar show created by cartoonist Jonathan "Zapiro" Shapiro to air, Citizen Television, a private station in Kenya, agreed to broadcast The XYZ show and signed away editorial control to Gado.
