• Implements and ensures correct and cost effective requisitioning, advertising and selection procedures.
• Support Management of Industrial and employee Relations
• Liaise with Unions during or before arbitrations, negotiations e.g. TRAWU, NUMSA
• Manage external litigation proceedings at CCMA (Conciliation and arbitration process).
• Oversee disciplinary hearings and grievances (formal process ensuring procedural and substantive fairness).
• IR/ER Training e.g. Chairing DC and Prosecution.
• Lead Provincial Management (26) and 620 (Fire Fighters) on payroll functions, employee relations.
• Ensure formal Recruitment policy and procedure is effectively implemented and adheres to all pertinent legislation.
• Ensure that Provincial organisational structures, job titles and grades/levels are correct and aligned to Company policy.
• Implements and maintains effective HC communication channels to all relevant stakeholders.
• Facilitate the implementation of functional, divisional, and Company strategies on an on-going basis according to Group methodology and policy.
• Perform all required Change Management activities e.g. Integration processes, Retrenchments/Reduction
• Implements Human Relations policies and procedures.
• Advise Management on all Human Relations issues in line with relevant legislation, IR and cases.
• Ensure that the Disciplinary and Grievance procedures are administered fairly and consistently as per policy and procedure.
• Represent the Company in all relevant Dispute Resolution Proceedings e.g. CCMA during arbitrations.
• Take responsibility of all HR related administrative work up to conducting internal Audits.

• Ensure accurate and updated record keeping of all personnel files and HR data
• Ensure compliance with local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; ensuring adherence to requirements e.g. Labour law amendments, Code of Good practice.
• Advise and educate Management and employees on policy changes and best practices.
