I worked at Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development as an Agricultural Economist (internship) for period of 2 years.
My key responsibilities included advising & training farmers on both economic and technical advisory related to agriculture. Development of business plans for farmers. Assisting farmers to have access to market and funding.Supporting and Developing small and medium farming enterprise and agricultural co-operatives.
Macroeconomics report writing. Facilitating agro-processing activities within the province.Provision of Agricultural Statistical Service for Gauteng Province.Compiling specifications and memorandum for procurement.Writing projects close up reports.
Writing minutes at the meetings and Capturing data on farmers and farming enterprises assisted by the department.
