Teachers and students invited to apply for sponsorships
The Johannesburg Musical Society (JMS) has always been at the forefront of concert presentation in Johannesburg. Now the JMS is able to offer free memberships to professional music teachers and music students who find that their budget constrains them from enjoying the superb music-making heard at JMS concerts.
In 2013 the JMS will sponsor the memberships of eight music teachers and eight music students. This means that the recipients of the sponsorships will be able to join the audience in the Linder Auditorium at no cost whatsoever.
Next year will feature an exciting selection of artists which includes cellists, pianists, violinists and various other combinations of instruments. Some of the South African performers who will be heard are Grammy Award-winning pianist Petronel Malan and the unique and popular Charl du Plessis Trio.
Applications should be made by mid-December and details of the application conditions are available at www.jms.org.za.
