Biker's feast at A Festa Portuguesa

The Crusaders MC Joburg Chapter President will lead the crew in convoy onto the grounds of A Festa Portuguesa to host a Biker Day Jol that promises to be filled with an impressive show of man, women, machines and most importantly - brotherhood!

Besides the array of chrome and customisation on show MUSTANG SALLY, the popular 18-wheeler music rig, will also be on site to welcome the bikers. "My truck's pretty well known," owner Charlie da Mota says.

"We've been on the road since '98 taking our tunes to wherever the biking fraternity may be getting together." The colossal jukebox also has all the modern conveniences any free spirit could ask for, from 12 bunks, aircon, toilet facilities, the works! I even have a projector and satellite television sorted," Charlie adds with a smile.

Bikers from across Gauteng, and beyond, will also get to engage with some of best and most respected bike customisation specialists in the country. By way of example; Robin da Silva has spent the past 25 years customising Harley Davidson and American V-Twins out of his Joint Effort workshop. "We'll be at A Festa Portuguesa," Robin says. "Bikers and those curious about how to best personalise a Harley, or any American bike for that matter, can pop past and see what we're best known for. Who knows, you may ride away on one of their beautiful creations.

The first 2500 bikers will also, as part of their R70 entry fee, receive a commemorative metal badge. It will be a memorable get together for owners, collectors and anyone who's inquisitive.

Tickets to A Festa Portuguesa cost R70 per day, for adults, and R40 for scholars, students and pensioners, and are available through Computicket, Box Office at Emperors Palace or @thePark.
