Slight dip in new car sales

During September 55 111 new vehicles were sold with VW Polo and VW Vivo dominating the passenger car market and Toyota Hilux leading the light commercial section.
Ford Motor Company of South Africa outperformed the export market with a growth of 8% over the previous month compared to 6% growth by the rest of the market.
The Ford Ranger, in particular showed strong growth with 1272 sold locally and 3378 exported during September. In the passenger car market the Figo again performed well with 1179 units sold. Mazda BT-50 sales grew 43% during September, only its second full-month of sales since launch
