Nissan sales figures show steady growth

Nissan South Africa (NSA) has once again shown steady sales growth as the August 2012 figures reflect a 5.8% increase on July 2012's performance - also overshadowing the 5.5% growth experienced by the local market overall. Year-on-year, NSA saw a 22.4% increase over August 2011, while the same figures for the overall market reflect growth of just 10.3%.
Nissan sales figures show steady growth

Market share remains firm at 9.2%, up 0.9% over the same period in 2011. Year-to-date share is up 1.7% compared to 2011, sitting at 9.6%. Year-on-year growth to date has remained strong at 32.5% in a market growing by just 9.7%.

NSA dealers sold 3 081 units in August 2012, with the Light Commercial Vehicle models once again posting excellent results. The value-for-money NP200 continued to show its popularity by posting an impressive 1 652 units, followed by the NP300 Hardbody (784 units). Passenger cars also impressed, with the Micra breaking its monthly sales record by posting 773 units, with Juke and Qashqai also returning healthy figures - 297 units and 255 units respectively.
