Women on Wheels (WOW) has announced the finalists of the 2014 WOW Women's Car of the Year Awards.

WOW is published with the July issues of Cosmopolitan, House and Leisure, Marie Claire and O, The Oprah Magazine, on sale now. WOW readers now have the opportunity to decide, together with an esteemed panel of judges, which vehicles should be awarded the coveted Women's Car of the Year title in 11 categories.

Reader voting will be conducted via www.womenonwheels.co.za and the closing date for voting is 31 July 2014. Voters stand a chance to win Dunlop tyres to the value of R5,000 as well as R10,000 in prize money - R1,000 a day per day for ten days running from 22 July to 31 July.

"South Africa's female motorists are incredibly fortunate in that they are treated to a huge selection of cars from all corners of the globe, but this enormous selection means that making the right decision can be extremely challenging," says Charleen Clarke, editor of WOW.

Educated decisions

"The WOW Women's Car of the Year Awards also help women make educated buying decisions by highlighting excellence in the industry. Car manufacturers have truly lifted their game, and it's seldom that they launch a lemon. As such, we believe that they deserve recognition. The WOW Women's Car of the Year Awards pay tribute to the best of the best when it comes to automotive technology."
