Gregory Gondwe, writing on BizTech Africa, says that Malawi rushing into digital migration prematurely has led to the country having to switch off the digital broadcasting network within a week.
BizTech Africa: Malawi digital migration 'premature'...The Malawian government is of opinion that the process is still on track even though stakeholders in the industry say government prematurely switched on as it did not fulfil some of the most important requirements. Gondwe further writes that "Government switched off the digital broadcasting network on 6 January due to what it called 'lack of submission of operational signals by television broadcasters'."
