Malawi: Roofhouse Advertising appointed Zain/Airtel account
Roofhouse Advertising has taken over the Zain Malawi account from ZK Advertising, which will soon rebrand to Bharti Airtel Malawi. According to Frank Phiri, ZK Advertising PR strategist, the ZK group has managed the Celtel/Zain account since 2005 across Africa.

"In Malawi we started handling [Celtel/Zain] in August 2006 up until Sept 2010," he said. Phiri said ZK Malawi are now handling a number of local and international clients, including a new World Bank-funded sanitation campaign for Lilongwe and Blantyre Water Boards.
Roofhouse Advertising PR manager Deusdeditt Sandram confirmed the account win starting 1 October 2010 under a new Airtel Ogilvy Africa contract.
"Since Ogilvy Africa will be carrying out all marketing activities for Airtel in all the sixteen African countries in Africa as an affiliate of Ogilvy we are going to be running the show in Malawi," said Sandram in an interview with Bizcommunity.
