TOKYO, JAPAN: In light of the current situation in Japan, Tata Communications and the Westin Tokyo are committing their resources to support the community, by offering free use of their telepresence facilities from Japan.

Consumers and businesses with a critical face-to-face communication need will have free-of-charge access to the high-definition video conferencing room in order to stay connected to friends, family or business counterparts across the globe. Tata Communications' Telepresence room in Tokyo is connected to its global network of 33 public rooms, located within all major cities worldwide.

Customers wishing to book a one hour Telepresence session should submit their requests stating the dates, times and room locations to moc.snoitacinummocatat@cilbuP.MRPT. Bookings will be made in conjunction with Tata Communications' global partners supporting this initiative including: Select Starwood rooms, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Neotel, PLDT (Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company), Telepresence Exchange Europe (TPEX), FastTelco and Safaricom.

Tata Communications' public Telepresence rooms are present across five continents, covering 17 countries including the USA, Canada, the UK, France, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, India, The Philippines, Singapore, Japan and Australia.

Use of the Westin Tokyo Telepresence facility and the connection will be free of charge. Receiving location charges (if any) will be at the discretion of Tata Communications' partner rooms.

Usage of the Tokyo room will be free of charge until further notice.
