About the role: As the data lead, you’ll be a key player in driving excellence across product design, development and deployment. You'll lead a team of data specialists, ensuring their work aligns with ambitious company culture and values. Your vision will guide the development of data products used by people across continents. This is a fast-paced, challenging, and ever evolving role, perfect for an empathetic and creative leader with a strong analytical mind.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and executing a data strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Leading the data team in designing, building, and refining data products, methods, and tools.
• Customising and deploying these solutions for various use Cases.
• Making strategic decisions to maximize return on investment and drive operational excellence.
• Fostering a positive and productive team environment that reflects our company culture.

Minimum requirements:

• Master's degree in data science or equivalent experience.
• Multiple additional data-focused qualifications are highly desirable.
• Technical skills in Python, R or Julia, cloud computing, web application frameworks, GIS, databases, machine learning, and BI tools.
• Proven track record in product development and technical product deployment.
• Proficiency in problem-solving, decision making, and organisation.
• Experience in a technical development environment, product development, and deploying technical products.
• Experience with popular project management and communication tools (Notion, Slack, etc.) is a plus.
