Celebration of language diversity in Africa at Wits Language School Africa Week
This week is Africa Week at Wits University, part of the celebrations around Africa Day on 25 May which commemorates the founding of the Organisation for African Unity (OAU), which then became the African Union (AU).
As part of the celebrations, Wits Language School is holding a number of free language demonstrations for languages spoken in Africa. We’re holding demonstrations for Zulu, French, Portuguese, Mandarin and South African Sign Language as well as business and academic English. We’re also speaking about teaching English to speakers of other languages (a great way to take a gap year) and about the professions of translation and interpreting.
Join us in celebrating language diversity in Africa, 9-14 May 2016. Download the programme here.
