In its first year of operation, Spark Randburg High will enrol Grade 8 scholars, primarily those who will have graduated from Grade 7 at Spark Ferndale, the first Spark school which started in 2012. Non-Spark scholars are welcome to enrol at the high school, however priority for places will be given to existing Spark scholars.

At a breaking-ground ceremony held recently at the site for the new school in Randburg, Spark School co-founder and CEO Stacey Brewer said: “We couldn't be more excited to launch our first high school and it is only fitting that it is located in Randburg, the area where we launched our first two schools, Spark Ferndale and Spark Cresta."

Building has started at Spark Randburg High School, which is located at 389 Pine Avenue, Randburg, with completion set for December. It officially opens on Wednesday, 16 January 2019.

Spark Schools this year ranked third in online publication SA Diaries list of the top 10 private schools in Johannesburg (SA Diaries Top Johannesburg Private Schools).
