Vehicle accessories won't boost resale value
Business Live warns that people buying new cars should be careful not to put in expensive accessories in the hope that this will boost the selling price when it comes to getting rid of the vehicle because accessories do not increase the vehicle's market value.
Quoting Darryl Jacobson, managing director of car auction company Burchmores, Business Live says that people who put in expensive sound systems, special rims or fancy lights believe that this will boost the resale value but this is simply not the case. In fact, some accessories can sometimes affect the safety and performance of the vehicle, particularly when it comes to wheels and tyres or special after-market grilles for lights.
