Peachy Keen release music video, EP on the way

Peachy Keen, a five-piece band from Cape Town, have released a music video that can be seen on YouTube and are scheduled to release a five-track EP in May, 2012, and a full-length album by the end of the year.

Peachy Keen performs a feel-good blend of rockabilly, pop rock, swing, a pinch of punk rock and a dash of soulful jazz. The band started in early 2010 when long-time friends Dom and Lex joined forces to create a band that would echo the definitive decade for rock 'n roll: the 1950s.

They have toured Durban, the KZN South Coast and Joburg, and last year played at six of the country's top outdoor music festivals, ending the year as the last band to play before the countdown in front of a couple of thousand people at the Rock The River music festival.

Peachy Keen recently launched their first music video, for their single Shot A Man Down, on YouTube and to a select few at a release party held at the Obz Cafe´, Cape Town.

The concept of the video demonstrates two girls who decide to teach a man with a wandering eye a lesson. They seductively taunt and tease him throughout the video, be it through the sassy live band performance scene, or with cutthroat knives in the barber shop scene. The end result is a man held hostage by two feisty blondes with a taste for revenge.

Peachy Keen are currently working on a five-track EP to be released on 11 May at Mercury Live, Cape Town, entitled "Backseat Bingo" and a full-length debut album is set to be out by the end of this year.
