I have 6 years experience in Logistics Management, which includes Warehouse-, Dispatch- and Transport Management.
I have a strong working knowledge of the manufacturing industry. At Murray and Roberts Steel, I started as a novice in the logistics and dispatch field. As Logistics/Dispatch Manager, I was responsible for the Finished Goods Warehouse as well as the total Dispatch Function. I'm always happy to roll up my sleeves to get the job done. Within 6 months of starting with them, I managed to double the storage capacity of stock by re-arranging the Finished Goods Warehouse more efficiently. I increased the amount of product that could be loaded per day by 200%. The dispatch transport budget was R320/ton of steel delivered when I started with M&R and was maintained below R260/ton over the 6 year period that I was employed there.
