Foster good working relationships with outsourced partners and all relevant stakeholders, i.e. Banks and the Payment Association of South Africa . Formulate efficient and effective collections processes in line with strategic business objectives. This includes operational change & process improvement initiatives for the collection of Insurance premiums from policyholders. Roles and responsibilities- Develop and implement effective collection strategies and processes.
- Analyse collection data monthly, identify trends and identify and implement improvements to business processes.
- Provide monthly reports on collection activities, performance metrics, and trends to senior management.
- Collaborate with other departments such as finance, sales, and customer service to streamline collection processes and enhance overall efficiency.
- Review and update collection policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Maintain compliance with all collection and banking laws and regulations.
- Responsible for communication, business operations and administration with their collections partner.
- Responsible for the transactional banking relationship and business operations with our Bankers.
Minimum qualifications and requirements- Qualification – Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
- At least five years of experience of electronic bank collections working in a Financial Services Industry.
- Knowledge and experience with Debi-check Mandate is essential
- Knowledge and experience with Money hub is essential
- Exposure to the Insurance industry will be an advantage.
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with a focus on improving collection success rates.
- Proficiency in using collection software and Salesforce CRM systems.
- Strong knowledge of debt collection laws, regulations, and best practice.
- Initiative-taking and good problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence on all levels.
- Attention to detail and structured approach to work.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
