Payroll Accountant
Our client is looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented payroll accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing their payroll while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
Responsibilities:- Process payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner
- Verify all timekeeping records for accuracy and completeness
- Calculate deductions and bonuses
- Ensure compliance
- Prepare and file payroll tax returns and reports
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll information
Requirements: - Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Proven experience as a payroll accountant or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations and procedures
- Proficiency in MS Excel, VIP Payroll and Pastel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
