Our client is seeking a highly skilled and strategic financial manager to oversee the financial operations of our E-Waste Recycling business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, cash flow management, compliance, and financial reporting, ensuring the company’s financial health and sustainability.
Key responsibilitiesFinancial planning and analysis: - Develop and oversee financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to support business growth.
- Analyse financial performance, trends, and variances to provide strategic insights.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.
Cash flow and budget management: - Monitor and manage cash flow, accounts payable, and receivables to ensure operational stability.
- Implement and oversee cost control measures to improve profitability.
- Evaluate and recommend investment opportunities or financial risk mitigation strategies.
Accounting and compliance: - Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, financial laws, and industry standards.
- Oversee payroll, tax submissions, VAT, and financial audits.
- Implement internal financial controls and policies to protect company assets.
Financial reporting and stakeholder management: - Provide financial reports and insights to support executive decision-making.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and investors.
- Manage relationships with key financial stakeholders, including suppliers and regulatory bodies.
Operational and business support: - Work closely with sales, operations, and procurement teams to align financial strategies.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve margins.
- Support business expansion, mergers, acquisitions, or investment projects.
Qualifications and skills- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (CIMA, CA(SA), or equivalent preferred).
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably within waste management, recycling, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage a team and work collaboratively with different departments.
