An architecture firm in George is currently hiring an architectural technologist to join their team. Minimum requirements:- A suitable tertiary qualification in Architectural Technology, preferably a BTech from CPUT, NMU, or TUT.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of regulations, building codes, and construction standards.
- Preferably based in the Southern Cape.
- A younger candidate is preferred.
Key responsibilities:- Assist in preparing approval and technical documentation for projects.
- Facilitate information flow to building sites, ensuring all relevant parties receive accurate and timely updates.
- Work alongside senior professionals to develop detailed drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and municipal authorities to ensure compliance with building regulations.
- Participate in site visits to monitor project progress and address technical queries.
- Support the team in producing accurate as-built documentation and revisions when needed.
Preferred skills and competencies:- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Good communication skills to liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects efficiently.
