Kheth'Impilo specialises in solution development and implementation for health and community systems and services strengthening in marginalised communities. The comprehensive Health care solutions include treatment, care and support for people infected and affected with HIV and TB as well as a range of innovative community based models of care that include community adherence, early childhood development, school health and accredited training.
Kheth'Impilo AIDS Free Living is a national Public Benefit Organisation with section 18A exemption status. We are uniquely positioned to address HIV /AIDS in the high prevalence districts through-out South Africa. We take pride in our work, focusing on the implementation of realistic and attainable interventions and solutions that address the needs of people infected and affected by HIV / AIDS
Kheth 'Impilo Patients:
1.Predominantly adult, females from urban, peri-urban and deep rural resource poor settings
2.Unemployed woman with little or no chance of advancement or employment
3.Children and infants under 5 years
4.Unemployed or unemployable men
5.Key populations including adolescents and young pregnant woman
6.Unemployed youth and OVCs (orphans and vulnerable children)
Kheth'Impilo works in close partnership with the Department of Health at a district level and implements the following programmes:
•HIV/AIDS counseling and testing known as PICT (Provider Initiated Counsellor Testing)
•Adult and pediatrics anti-retroviral treatment
•Training of both clinical and community support staff
•Pharmaceutical services support
•Prevention of mother to child transmission
•TB treatment and care
•Community adherence support/psychosocial support services
