Liesl stufied classical vocals with the Trinity College of Music and Griffin Music School in East London. She completed Military training in 1989 at the Ladies Army College in George and worked on several Intelligence projects until 2011. She was a newspaper journalist in South Africa until 1991 and a TV News journalist and TV documentary producer until 1995. She mananged and owned a media school; training tertiary learners in TV, radio, film, journalism, PR and communications from 1996 to 2001. Her media company, The Media Specialists, managed the defamation matters that South African President Jacob Zuma insitituted against several media companies in South Africa and in the UK. Her communications company - WABC - World to Africa Business Communications, had several multinational listed clients in Johannesburg, London, Geneva, Lisbon and Toronto. Liesl was involved in several global consortium projects as partner, etrepreneur or project owner in mining, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, NGO's and in the energy sector from 1998 to present. She founded ZAT - ZA Telecommunications in November 2011 and established several associate and subsidiary companies
