UAE bans non-vaccinated citizens from travelling

The United Arab Emirates will be banning non-vaccinated citizens from travelling abroad and will ban citizens who have not had three doses of a vaccine against Covid-19 from travelling too. The new rule is set to come into effect on 10 January 2022.

The announcement was made by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Siting the announcement, Emirates news agency, WAM reported that fully vaccinated citizens would also require a booster shot to be eligible to travel. The ban would not apply to those with medical or humanitarian exemptions.
