Dubai International Print Award 2011 winners

DUBAI, UAE: Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Dubai Chamber's Printing and Publishing Group (PPG), has announced the award winners of the fifth 'Dubai International Print Award 2011' during a gala dinner held at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Dubai.

Awards were given to 69 winners across different categories of which 48 represented off-set printing while 21 were from digital printing.

"DIPA 2011 is representative of the pride and superior printing quality being brought forward within the Arab world [and] selecting the final winners from all the entries was certainly a challenge," said Ahmad Bin Hassan Al Shaikh, chairman of the Printing and Publishing Group.

Hassan Al Hashemi, director, External Relations, Dubai Chamber, said: "Since 2006, DIPA has witnessed an increase in entries and ... I would also like to thank all the participating members and sponsors for their valued and continued support in putting together this year's DIPA Awards."

Offset printing categories include; Flyers, POP Material, Posters, Magazine, Books, Annual Reports, Cards, Calendars, Brochures, Catalogues, Directories, Newspapers, Newsletter, Handcraft jobs and Innovation. Digital printing will now have seven categories; POP Material, Posters, Annual Reports, Cards, Magazines, Flyer-Direct Mail, Brochures and Catalogues.
