ABC confirms AutoWeek's popularity

According to the Audit Bureau of Circulations report released earlier this week, AutoWeek newspaper's first ABC certificate has confirmed that the title sold 8877 copies per week (that is 38 467 copies every month) in the period April to June 2012.

Written and presented in magazine style with best international content from leading UK titles Autocar and Autosport, the publication is released on the same day in South Africa as the news is published in those titles overseas. The UK content is backed up by the team's leading local writing

"Every copy is sold to a reader who wants to buy it," publisher Michele Lupini explained. "So our advertisers can rely on our readers lapping it up from cover-to-cover every week, rather than taking the chance on a small percentage of otherwise-inclined newspaper punters perhaps finding a supplement tucked deep within another daily. It has outperformed our own forecast for this first period by a quarter."
