Agence France-Presse regrets it is unable to provide coverage of the Indian Premier League cricket tournament, starting today.

The action follows the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI's) failure to lift restrictions on picture agencies covering the tournament.

The suspension of text and photo coverage will apply to events on the field, press conferences before and during the matches, and all tour-related news.

All international news agencies have decided to cancel their coverage of the series until there is a resolution of the dispute.
