Property mag invests in Jo’burg and Durban

The new glossy property lifestyle publication, The Property Magazine, distributed free to AB households through the Western Cape Peninsula at present, will be introduced to Johannesburg later this year and Durban next year.

The magazine has given advertisers an opportunity to get their message straight to their target market with the large format glossy pages providing for spectacular visuals.

Tony Vaughan, publisher of The Property Magazine says, "Until now, regional advertisers, often with limited advertising budgets, have only been able to afford the classified sections of the national mags to advertise their products. Because of its regional nature, The Property Magazine affords advertisers the opportunity to display their products in a full colour, glossy A3 magazine featuring opinion, human Interest, place, aspiration and news."

"The notion of targeting the property market with a niche free to home publication is however widely used across Europe, the UK. and Australia. Examples such as the London Magazine, with a distribution of 100 000 copies, and the London Property News, with 383 000 copies, appeal to people's interest in the property market and associated industries."

The Property Magazine launch edition had 55 advertisers in total and 15 of the top 20 estate agents advertising in the magazine.

"Very often advertisers, placing ads in glossy publications, have to compete with 120 or more other titles on the shelves of retailers. The journey to the inside of consumer's home is a long and competitive one. The Property Magazine gives advertisers a lead start in the journey. At the consumer's doorstep, there is only one choice of magazine, and the distance to the living room is so much shorter.

"Our web presence with all editorial available online, also makes The Property Magazine available to those who did not receive it at their homes. This is an added benefit to advertisers who enjoy free links to their own sites via www.thepropertymag.co.za."

In addition, about 5000 copies of The Property Magazine are available for purchase through various retail outlets throughout South Africa including CNA, Exclusive Books and the airport retailers. The magazine is also available free for guests at five star hotels, at consulates and embassies and SAA/Virgin/KLM business and first class lounges.
