“Chris spearheaded many businesses, with the inclusion of taking our company and facilitating the growth of it over a span of 10 years.

“He was a key member of our executive team and under his inspiring leadership, The Cross Trainer grew to become one of the leading sports fashion stores in South Africa,” says The Cross Trainer CEO, Mark Frame.

“His work in the retail sector will be remembered and his indelible contributions will be deeply missed. A harder worker than Chris is hard to find.

“He taught us so many things, but most importantly he gave us the ability to know that if you really put your mind to something, anything is possible,” continues Frame.

Bezuidenhout was born on 11 December 1951, and passed away quietly a few days after his 70th birthday, on the 16th of December 2021. His family at home and at The Cross Trainer were unprepared for this unforeseen loss.

The Cross Trainer extends its sincerest condolences to the Bezuidenhout family in their time of great sadness.

“While we mourn the loss of a dear colleague and a friend, we also pay tribute to and celebrate a life that was well-lived. Frame adds, “Chris touched the lives of so many over the years, and we will honour him and his legacy which will continue to live on through us and through the brand he held so dear to his heart.”
