SA wine estate wins one award for every entryPerdeberg Winery trotted off with a total of 10 awards - one for every wine it entered - at the 2009 Decanter World Wine Awards, held in London on 12 May. The South African estate scored favourably across all categories, especially with its new premium Rex Equus (King of Horses) wines, earning 9 medals as well as the trophy for Best South African Red Rhone Varietal over £10. Perdeberg Winery's winemaker, Riaan Möller is thrilled, "Every wine we entered has won an award! This is a sign that things are just getting better here at Perdeberg and we are ready to improve even more!" In its sixth year running, the Decanter Wine Awards has positioned itself as one of the most coveted wine competitions in the world. Decanter magazine, host of the awards, is sold in 92 countries and is read by wine lovers the world over. It is ostensibly the number one selling wine magazine in the United Kingdom.
