The second Toffie Pop Culture Festival & Design Conference, taking place at the Cape Town City Hall from 24-26 March 2011, has confirmed graphic designer and technology whiz Jonathan Puckey as a speaker. From designing a text pencil tool for Adobe to installations and interactive art events, his aim is to create systems that with human input become logical and easy to work.

From programming at the tender age of thirteen to working for ad agencies straight after school, this independent graphic designer was selected as one of the top '20 under 30' visual artists in Print magazine in 2010 thanks to his solutions that combine programming with print design, thereby creating new opportunities for designers.

The conference offers 16 speakers, two movies and the first collaboration between the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra and the hip hop artist Tumi Molekane, electro musician, Peach van Pletzen and composer Braam du Toit. To hear how great minds think, work and live their design truths, go to www.toffie.co.za to book for the event.
