Junior Construction Foreman

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented junior residential construction foreman to oversee and manage daily on-site activities for residential construction projects in the Mossel Bay area. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Remuneration: R15,000 – R20,000 per month

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on-site.
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage and oversee subcontractors and labourers.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members.
  • Monitor and control material usage and wastage.
  • Handle on-site problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Keep detailed records of daily site activities, including work progress, delays, and any issues.
Requirements
  • Minimum of one to two years of experience in residential construction or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in the construction industry.
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
Preferred qualifications
  • Previous experience as a site foreman or in a supervisory role.
  • Relevant certifications in construction management or related fields.
