What we are looking for:

A junior copywriter to join our growing studio and develop ideas, campaigns and written content for a host of brands and clients across industries. Our ideal candidate is entrenched in the world we live in, understands the various South African cultures, and is able to think out the box with a curious and conceptual mind. If you are all about big ideas, and creating disruptive work then this club may just be for you. You'll work across channels from digital to experiences and everything in between.

What the role entails:
  • Research: Conduct research to understand target audiences, industry trends, and competitor activities to inform and enhance copywriting.
  • Content Creation: Write copy for a variety of formats, including digital ads, social media posts, experiential activations, video scripts, websites, and print materials.
  • Campaign Development: Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and develop creative concepts that align with brand strategies and objectives.
  • Brand Voice: Adapt tone and style to match different brand personalities, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
  • Collaboration: Our team is collaborative and you'll work closely with creatives, account managers, and strategists to ensure cohesive and impactful campaign execution.
  • Innovation: Bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the table, contributing to the development of groundbreaking marketing campaigns.
Requirements:
  • Must be based in Cape Town
  • A degree in advertising, marketing, communications, specialising in copywriting
  • This is a junior role so whilst some experience is preferred, your portfolio of SOLO work will help.
  • Work experience within a copywriting role is mandatory
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a portfolio showcasing creative work across multiple formats.
  • Passion for experiences in the live and digital space, with an understanding of how to connect brands with audiences through creative ideas.
  • Ability to write for diverse audiences and adapt to different brand voices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
