2019 Women in Transport Awards finalists revealed

The 2019 Women in Transport Awards finalists have been announced. The awards are sectioned into five categories to recognise female contribution across the broad spectrum of the transport industry and will highlight women and organisations who have achieved outstanding results through leading, innovation and commitment to the transport sector.

Palesa Phili, CEO of the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry NPC says: "The South African economy needs greater active participation from women especially in crucial sectors such as Transport. The Women in Transport Awards is a platform to celebrate women achievers in this sector and their accomplishments as well as motivate the next generation of women business leaders and entrepreneurs. The awards can empower and embolden women make a more significant contribution to the economy as well as address socio-economic issues such as gender equity and unemployment."
