A new report by the Brookings Institute says Africa’s ag producers “need more electricity, more irrigation, and better infrastructure.” The continent’s rural areas can benefit, too, by opening up greater opportunities for women. The University of Nebraska’s ag-science and natural resources programs, widely respected for their top-quality work, have stepped up their international outreach in recent years.
