The new Showbox adds another dimension to retail marketing in malls

Scan Retail has added a new product to its range: the Showbox. This 360° glass showcase is made for high-foot-traffic areas in malls and shopping centres, where it provides an extra marketing platform for retailers.

“The Showbox is a display product developed for promotional purposes,” says Chantel de Lange, the Scan Retail Sales Manager. “Our selling point is that, for a small investment, mall owners can generate revenue from it. They can do this by strategically placing the Showbox in non-GLA (General Letting Areas) and renting it out to their tenants. It promotes footfall to these stores and is ideal for seasonal promotions.”

The freestanding cube is made from steel and tempered glass, and fitted with spotlights. This gives retailers a secure space in which to professionally show off inspiring 3D marketing displays with their merchandise.

The Showbox comes in three standard sizes to suit a variety of likely spaces at malls, such as aisles, entry points from parking areas, and the hard-to-utilise areas under escalators. Customised sizes are also available on request.

Three different finishes options offer variations in style and price.

Scan Retail launched the Showbox at the Annual Congress of the South African Council of Shopping Centres (SACSC), which was held at the new CTICC expansion in Cape Town from 13-15 September 2017. It was well received by the delegates as a simple yet powerful marketing tool to drive customer awareness of brands and products in strategic locations.
