Job description

Eclipse Communications - an award-winning, national communications agency - is looking for a Social Media Manager with strong project management, client service and digital skills, to manage a portfolio of clients. As the Social Media Account Manager, you will be responsible for social media strategy development, planning, content creation, implementation and reporting across your portfolio of clients. You will also be required to plan budgets and client service (serve as the day-to-day client contact).   • Experience in an accredited agency, managing multiple clients
  • Google certification/s and/or a good understanding of GA
  • Creating basic reports in Google Data Studio
  • An understanding of G-Suite
  • Strong content writing (for social media) capabilities
  • Knowledge and experience with WordPress and other CMS’s
  • Competitor analysis and keyword research
  • Understands integration and is able to work collaboratively with other internal business units (design and PR) to help produce integrated campaign concepts


  • Manage the end-to-end social media strategy, working closely with the client and internal agency team
  • Create and manage the social media content plans for your portfolio of clients
  • Assist the Head of Digital in social media strategies
  • Oversee and manage the community manager
  • Ensure deadlines are met (internally and externally) and work is delivered to scope
  • Measure performance against KPIs
  • Deliver monthly client reports with insights, based on organic and paid social media data
  • Oversee ad campaign strategies that will deliver on client goals
  • Stay up to date with best practices, regulations and tools
  • Stay abreast of social media and industry trends, as well as the latest in digital technology
  • Attend internal and external brainstorms and status meetings with the team and/or the client
  • More than 3+ years experience in social media/digital campaign management
  • Solid understanding of how Facebook ads platform works (either learned through Facebook’s Blueprint training; through courses or proven experience)
  • Creating campaigns that drive real impact through creativity and sticky content that is engaging, authentic and unique.
  • A solid understanding of content creation.
  • A good understanding of the various digital channels to assist clients with strategies
  • Basic knowledge of Display & Video 360, Social (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn), YouTube, Premium Display
  • Strong understanding & experience of Search Ads 360 & Google Ads
  • Ability to perform in depth audits of social channels and provide recommendations based on findings
  • Confident in managing client accounts directly
  • Experience in working with creatives and digital service providers (copywriters, developers, paid media specialists etc).
  • Have worked with/understands the basics of social media and project management tools (Trello; Slack; Falcon etc.)
  • End-to-end campaign management including, but not limited to, implementation planning, budget planning, cross-channel implementation, campaign optimisation, and reporting with insights
  • Ability to use ad campaign and content tools (Business Manager at minimum)
  • Strong analytical skills to provide actionable insights & recommendations
  • Making use of in-depth knowledge of paid media principles, how the markets operate and advance analytics skills to educate clients and internal teams
  • Excellent presentation skills using Google Slides or other presentation tools
  • Good written, verbal and listening skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail
