Job description

  • Managing existing trade relationships, negotiating deals and canvassing new business by planning and organising daily work schedule
  • Consulting with our customers regarding the industry and consumer liquor trends and developing a plan for each customer using utilising our portfolio
  • Offering brand support in the form of training, promotional activity, event generation and support
  • Developing and managing of staff incentives
  • Negotiating and managing all marketing related activity within our customer base
  • Facilitating and hosting trade and consumer brand awareness events
  • Admin in the form of daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses
  • Monitoring of competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Resolving customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Works closely with the marketing team to assist with on or/and off-site activities as and when required
  • Evening, weekend and public holiday work required from time to time

Educational Requirements:
  • Diploma or Equivalent in Sales and Marketing will be beneficial
  • Computer Literate
  • Valid code eight drivers licence
Work Experience and Core Competency Requirements:
  • Two years’ experience in an FMCG sales environment (preferably liquor)
  • Excellent communication skills including rapport building
  • Trustworthy and time management skills
